The Super Bowl - fact or fiction

Okay, I am not a fan of Peyton Manning.  At all.  I needed to start out by saying that.

This past football season couldn't have been more scripted.  All the stars have been aligned by the NFL so Peyton finally wins a Super Bowl.  He has broken records, he has done everything except win a Super Bowl, so the NFL owes him.

I am not a betting person, but I would probably feel safe betting a year's pay that Denver will win the Super Bowl this year.

We will have an entire day of how great Peyton is.  How great John Elway was in his time and how John Elway won a Super Bowl and now he is going to be the coach who wins the Super Bowl with Peyton Manning.

It will be Papa John's for everyone!  I will gag.  Literally.

And people think NASCAR is fixed...............

2014 - How it started

So, 2014 got off to a bang for me.  Really I should say a slice.  I literally sliced my finger while cleaning the blades of our blender.  I had to go to the Quick Care Clinic and I got 3 stitches.  So, now, after a week, the stitches are out and the finger is on the way to healing.   I never used my insurance at all in 2013, and I start off 2014 using it 6 days in.  I hope that's not a trend!

My sister told me that her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter are moving back to Michigan from Wisconsin.  I am happy for her.  Heather has been through a lot and it will be nice for her to be back by her mom and the rest of her family.

I took down the Christmas decorations even before the New Year came.  It was nice to have them up, but it was nice taking them down.  We had to re-arrange our family room to accommodate all the toys the girls got..

So, it's only January 12th, but it's been an eventful year so far!

January 1, 2014

So, what would me saying I am going to blog in 2014 and not post on the first day.

Great first day of 2014.  I hope there will be more days like this.  I slept in (7:00 is sleeping in), watched parades with Isabella and then Shannon and I took the girls to 3 different parks near our home.  We had a great time.  Isabella got tired out enough where she took a nap.

Emma was Emma.  Happy at times and crabby at others.  Her cheeks have been red, she's been drooling a lot as well.  I think she's finally going to get in her top teeth.

We came home and I made dinner and finished laundry.  Now off to watch some NCIS (missing Ziva) and then will get ready for the next 2 hectic days that we will have at work.

Here are some pictures of the girls at the park today.

2013 Reflections

My goal for 2014 was to blog.  About what, I figure it will come to me at some point each day, each week or each month.  I figured I would start out with reflecting on 2013.

The best ting that happened was the birth of my granddaughter, Emmaline Joanna Costa.  She was almost born on my birthday.  Isabella was 2 at the time and is a wonderful big sister.

Here is a picture from this Christmas:

I lost my best friend to cancer.  There were other deaths I had to deal with, but Myra's passing hit me the hardest.

My Aunt Estelle and my Uncle Stanley both passed away.  Now there are no remaining siblings for my mom or dad, who have also passed away.  With so many cousins I know had kids and their kids have already had kids, I really need to get moving on my family tree before my generation starts fading as well.

My son-in-law, Mike, finally got promoted to Manager at Red Lobster.  He has worked for them for 10 years and it was about time they gave him a Manager's job.  He is a hard and dedicated worker for them.

Shannon is in her 2nd year at the middle school near our home.  She loves teaching there and especially likes how close it is to home.

My job is good some days and a bundle of stress the next.   I guess that's the merry-go-round of employment.
